Lilith’s namesake was Adam’s first wife, who was not only the first woman to exist but also the first to fight the status quo of submitting to a man– thus being labeled an evil temptress. Eye roll, we know better than that and so does Lilith. The NYC-born brand was created as a safe haven and a fight against the stereotypes plaguing sneaker culture; that masculine styles and personalities are the only ones interested. But Lilith knows better, as she did from day one, and thus the sneaker breaking down barriers was born; made for women, femmes, and all underrepresented people. Really anyone who wants to get comfortable, which is just about every one.
VETTED BY THE VERTICALE
On a mission to de-gender sneaker culture.
Lilith was founded by Sarah Sukumaran as a way to break down the barriers and stereotypes of the sneaker world.
Sarah was tired of the sneakerhead stereotypes that portrayed only “tomboy” type women as those accepted by sneaker culture, enter the shoe made to explore and express personal style– regardless of gender or appearances.
