apse (All People’s Shackles Exchanged) was created by two fine art majors who saw a future of jewelry built on self-expression. Looking at the physical past of jewelry, its symbolism of statement and identity, apse takes self-expression one step further– building confidence in our own unique passions. They believe that jewelry is the external expression of how we see ourselves, the pieces we choose turn out to be a physical (and quite beautiful way) to wear our hearts on our sleeves. Doesn’t that make you think about your favorite necklace?
VETTED BY THE VERTICALE
On a mission to make self expression simple and dazzling.
Almost all metals used by apse are recycled gold or silver, and every piece crafted is made to order to eliminate excess waste. As a bonus any returned product is repurposed to live a second life.
Every piece is made in house by workers being paid a living wage. The chains themselves are sourced by local USA manufacturers who are also members of the Responsible Jewelry Council.
apse donates 10% of its yearly profits to a number of organizations, such as DVSAS and REST, that work to help marginalized communities access mental health resources, emergency care and legal advocacy.
Hayley is one half of the married duo behind Apse, which they started as a way to encourage everyone to celebrate who they are.
Hayley Boyd & Jarod Faw
Married couple and best friends Hayley and Jarod were originally getting their fine art degrees in sculpture and printmaking before turning to jewelry. They started Apse as a way to help others portray their individuality through self expression, and what does it better than jewelry made-to-order just for you?
