Meet Bite. The new way to toothpaste. Founder Lindsay McCormick is shaking up dental hygiene. You know that toothpaste tube you’ve been squeezing the last bits out of for the past week? Throw. It. Out. It annoys you almost as much as it annoys us– especially since we now know that our toothpaste tubes are wasting tons of plastic.

Over 1-billion toothpaste tubes are thrown out every year. That’s 5 Empire State State Buildings worth of plastic every single year. Instead of using plastic, Bite uses glass to package their bits. When you’re ready for a refill, they come in an easy recyclable pouch so all you have to do is keep refilling your bottle. Next thing we love: the ingredients. They’re vegan, gluten-free, and cruelty free using 100% chemical free ingredients– aka you can pronounce them when you read the label, unlike some other brands.

These bits come in two options: Naturally Whitening or Activated Charcoal (or get both with the Duo– win win). The process is simple. All you have to do is put Bite in your mouth, bite down, then get brushing. Bite foams up almost immediately and you don’t even have to use a ton of water while you’re brushing. Bite will leave your teeth squeaky clean - and conserving plastic means the sea turtles will thank you.
